This is the 3rd time i stayed in this hotel with my family. I had a good experience last 2 times but no so this time. This property has been completely neglected and poorly maintained and i think it is coming for a closure since there is no restaurant and the reception staff are swindling the money by accepting only by cash from the customers. This property is ideally located close to Wellington and has a beautiful view of the Wellington station and other places. Unless you have a vehicle it will be difficult to reach this place. I am given to understand that due to poor maintenance and not regular customers this property has lost its value and not anymore worth a stay. The receptionists Mr. Dominique and Mr. Martin are literally cheating the management by accepting the payment only by cash from the guests citing the swiping machine is not working. They do not even provide the cash receipts. They charge GST @ 18% when in fact it is only 12% for a tariff upto Rs. 2,500/- per night. Since the owner of the hotel Mr. Stephen is in distress due to his wife's hospitalisation these people are taking advantage of it and not properly accounting anything. They are very rude and arrogant to all the guests and they do not entertain the guests properly. I am deeply saddened by the fact that an ideal property for a stay is nearing an end.

NEVER EVER Choose this terrible hotel

We were welcome by stinking rooms, dirty blankets and dusty furniture. Leaking taps in bathroom and poor service by staff. Intercom doesnt work. Old CRT non functional TVs. No lift. Improper light. We had to ask five times to replace stinking, torn blanket. Our kids were not ready to sleep in such pathetic room. It felt like we were staying in a haunted place. Everything in this hotel belonged to 70s. Looks like it is never maintained after 1970. NEVER EVER choose this hotel. Even a Dharamshala or lodge will be better than this.

Had a fun trip to Coonoor with family. Was lucky that I booked ahead as the hotel was sold out. Rooms were spacious. Enjoyed a nice dinner at the restaurant and asked for room service for breakfast. Very cheerful friendly staff.

Nice Enough. Not bad for the reasonable price.

The hotel room has a great view. Basic room. Big. Clean. If it were rennovated I'm sure I would have had to shell out Rs.6000 for the room. Kids were thrilled to watch the train from the window and didn't mind climbing the stairs. Food is nice. Great to see that there is a fully stocked bar with my favourite brand. They organised a bonfire for us and we had dinner around the fire. A pleasant stay. Worth the money.
